SUMMER DANCE CLASSES:
2011 Summer Classes
Summer Performance Team:
Our Summer Performance Team will perform at various community events including: Relay for Life, KLiC Cancer Walk, and the Duchesne County Fair Parade. Dancers will learn modern jazz & basic ballet technique. A performance tank-top will need to be purchased in order to perform at these events. Dancers will also need black shorts, white socks, & white gym shoes.

We have two age grouped classes in jazz/ballet. Pre-Jazz/Pre-Ballet is for ages 2-7, and Jazz/Ballet I is for ages 8-12. Dancers will learn modern jazz & beginning ballet technique.
Gymnastics Classes:
We have two ability based gymnastics classes. Gymnastics I is a “Beginning/Pre-Walkover” class. This class is for dancers who are very new to gymnastics and/or are not yet able to perform back-walkovers or front-walkovers. Gymnastics II is a Intermediate/Advanced class. This class is for dancers who are already able to perform back- walkovers and front-walkovers.
Ballet Technique (Intermediate/Advanced Level):
This class is strongly recommended for any drill team member or any Intermediate/Advanced dancer wanting to improve their ballet technique. Dancers in this class will work on ballet technique at the barre as well as various leaps, turns, extensions, & more.
Drill Technique (For current or soon-to-be drill team members):
This class is strongly recommended for drill team members (or soon-to-be drill team members) wanting to improve at an intermediate/advanced level. Dancers will work specifically on steps/movements that are in drill team routines such as: back leaps, side leaps, fuettes, headstands, toe rolls, etc. *All dancers who completed this class last summer, made the cut for all THREE drill team competition routines.*

3rd Annual Spring Recital
Recital Information
Our Spring Recital will start at 6:00 pm THIS SATURDAY, May 21st @ Duchesne High School in the old gym. (Old gym is behind the school). Doors will not be open to spectators until 5:30 pm (everyone needs to enter through the front doors of the gym). Please inform anyone who you have invited to the recital.
All dancers need to come ready, warmed-up/stretched, & in their costume by 5:40 pm (if you are in the “Opener” arrive by 5:30 pm). All Non-Competition dancers can wear their hair however they would like as long as it is away from their face. Performance make-up is optional but highly recommended. EDE Minis, Petites, and Seniors need to wear their hair and make-up competition style. If you cannot do a french braid, you need to have a regular braid in place of the french braid.
We need all dancers to be lined up AT LEAST ONE NUMBER BEFORE THEIR ROUTINE. If dancers are not lined up at the correct time, they may miss their performance. We will not be able stop the recital to wait for a specific dancer(s) to be lined up. PLEASE BE ON TIME.
